The story

1961
Foundation of the sole proprietorship Walosa by Walter Kneubühl with production site in Köniz.

1963
New building and relocation to Gümligen right next to Bern. At that time, series parts of all kinds were manufactured on cam-controlled long and short lathes.

1985
Entry into CNC technology with a 2-axis controlled CNC lathe.

1988
The company was transformed into a public limited company, with Peter Kneubühl taking over the management. This was followed by various new acquisitions in the field of turning and milling centers.

1994
Expansion of the production and storage areas, including for cubic machining.

1998
Our first 4-axis milling machine is delivered.

2003
Certification according to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.

2005
Move into the new production and assembly areas.

2011
50 years of Walosa.

2012
5-axis milling machine completes our manufacturing capabilities.

2018
ISO 13485 recertification will no longer be renewed at the end of September
